From January 22 in the capital:
  • the work of museums, libraries and other cultural institutions will resume;
  • the maximum allowed number of spectators in theaters, cinemas and concert halls will be doubled (up to 50 percent of the capacity);
  • with the same occupancy, other entertainment, sports, exhibition, educational mass events will be allowed to be held with the audience;
 
A number of other restrictions are also removed.
 
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the situation with COVID-19 in Moscow inspires the authorities with "cautious optimism". Sobyanin admitted that other restrictions will soon be lifted.
