According to the ministry, the trade turnover between Moscow and Beijing increased by 28%. Turkey became the second country in terms of trade volume. Trade turnover with Ankara increased by 84%. The third is the Netherlands, with an indicator of -0.1%. Germany (-23%) and Belarus (+10%) entered the top 5.

According to Alexander Daniltsev, Director of the HSE Institute of Trade Policy, Kazakhstan may enter the top five in 2023, overtaking Belarus in terms of trade with Russia.

Against the background of the introduction of parallel imports in Russia, there have been changes in the supply chains of goods in the world. As a result, Anastasia Priklyadova, Associate Professor of the Department of International Business and Customs Affairs of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, noted that Turkey has become a significant partner of Russia in terms of establishing new routes.

Last week, the press service of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China reported that the volume of trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.3% in annual terms over the past 12 months. In monetary terms, this figure reached a record high of $190.27 billion.
